AIMMS connects directly to SCADA, historians and IoT sensors, detects anomalies and deviations in that data, can raise the fault itself and alert the responsible people rather than waiting for an operator to notice an alarm, and surfaces slower drifts as recommended scheduled maintenance. Detection is a read; control is a write; the boundary is on the write. This is not a substitute for a condition monitoring programme: vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil and wear debris analysis and motor current signature analysis run against ISO 17359 are a separate discipline with their own instrumentation. - Autonomy is customer-defined: roles, permissions, spend limits, safety policies, and approval gates decide which actions AIMMS may take. Measured in one anonymized industrial production deployment. They are not a result in your sector, a forecast, or a universal guarantee. Results vary by workflow, asset mix, data quality, operating environment, and customer controls. MTTR is time to repair, not total downtime, and must not be restated as a downtime reduction. - The homepage and each sector page open with a pressure chapter: five structural pressures on critical infrastructure maintenance (assets staying in service longer, the people who know them leaving, the repair truth scattered across systems, the right part harder to get right and get fast, less room for downtime), what each does inside one repair, and what AIMMS does about it.
